Toxic Avenger on FearNet.com!

Figured I would share this bit of info: the entire Toxic Avenger line is on FearNet (Digital Cable on-demand channel and website). This is one of those that is well known for being in the "bad taste" genre, and Troma kicked out the stops for it. A young outcast (not really a likable one, though, in something of a twist on the super hero cliche) gets pranked into a barrel of waste and becomes a mutant superhero. There are chunky bits and bloody bits. It is not a gonzo as films like Braindead, mind you. It has gore, but most of it is kind of hokey and briefy. It is much more a bad taste comedy than a bad taste gor-ror movie.

You can read the The Toxic Avenger Wikipedia Page if you have any interest in learning more. Or, if you would rather just learn by watching, here are the links to the movies (note, these are the actual movies in streaming format, not really work safe). You may have to input your birthdate (it does not do this consistently):

There are a handful of versions of these movies with different ratings. I am going to guess these are the rated-R cuts. Or well, the "edited versions" (from what I can tell, the rated-R original movie release of the first one was gorier than the "unrated" home video release, but there was a less gory rated-R release, as well? At any rate, the first one came out to be 82-83 minutes long). Personally, this is a case where getting the cheesey storyline for free makes up for the cut gore. The "funny" bits should still be intact.

FearNet cycles through movies on Wednesdays, so I don't know if these movies are up until tomorrow or around for a couple of weeks. It can be hard to tell, sometimes.

Due to most of my friends using alternate means to contact me, and mostly SPAM bots using the comment box method, I have removed it. If you wish to contact me, please feel free to use any human-friendly contact method you wish. Thanks!
